MD of Aarvi Encon awarded as one of India’s greatest entrepreneurs


  • The Great People Manager Awards 2019 was announced in July of this year, there was a name that received standing ovation from the audience.
  • Virendra D Sanghavi, Co-promoter and Managing Director of Aarvi Encon Limited, was the oldest entrepreneur to have been recognized as a great people leader. Aarvi Encon is an engineering and manpower outsourcing services company established in oil and gas, refinery, petrochemicals, cross-country pipeline, power, infrastructure and telecom sectors.

M Venkaiah Naidu releases monograph of 'Musical Excellence of Mridangam' in Chennai

  • Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that science has the responsibility to add values to ancient musical traditions like Mridangam and to preserve and protect the nation's cultural heritage. He released the monograph, the Musical Excellence of Mridangam, at a function in Chennai this evening.
  • The Vice President noted that, like every facet of India, there is a fascinating diversity, extraordinary breadth and incredible depth in Indian music. He said, it has a treasure-house of songs that has been providing continuous nourishment to the mind, heart and soul. He emphasized that every note and cadence associated with the ancient music systems has to be preserved and propagate.

Ravi Dahiya aims for gold medal in Olympics


  • Indian wrestler Ravi Dahiya is aiming to clinch a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 as he feels that is what the country needs. "Medal toh medal hi hota hai but chahna toh yehi hai ki gold hi le aaye kyunki gold ki bahut zyada zarurat hai desh ko (a medal is a medal but my personal ambition is to bring home the gold as it is what India needs the most)" Dahiya told Sports Authority of India.
  • The 22-year-old secured his berth in the 57kg men's freestyle wrestling category and bagged a bronze at the World Wrestling Championships in Nur-Sultan. Dahiya was also included in the Sports Authority of India's Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS), which, he feels, is going to benefit him a lot.

MSTC ties up with Allahabad Bank to develop e-auction platform


  • MSTC Ltd has signed an agreement with Allahabad Bank for the development of a dedicated e-Auction platform. This platform directly linked with the Indian Banking Association’s portal ( for sale of non-performing assets (NPAs) through the SARFAESI (Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Securities Interest) Act.
  • The e-Auction platform will be a one-of-a-kind solution, where a bidder once registered, will be able to participate in auctions for all banks. This move will help the banks monetise NPAs through a streamlined process, thereby, increasing revenue generation," MSTC said in a regulatory filing.

Serbia’s Sara Damnjanovic wins “Miss Asia Global title 2019”


The 5th Edition of ‘Miss Asia Global Title 2019’ was organized at Gokulam Convention centre in Kochi, Kerala. Sara Damnjanovic from Serbia has been crowned ‘Miss Asia Global 2019’. The title is given to the winner from the Asian region. Nguyen Thi Yen Trang from Vietnam was awarded the Miss Asia title given to the winner from the rest of the world. Samiksha Singh from India won the sub-title of ‘Miss Beautiful Face’ Title. The Next ‘Miss Asia Global Title 2020’ will be held in Malaysia.
