IBPS RRB 2020 Selection Process

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts IBPS RRB exam every year in India for candidates who wish to join Regional Rural Banks of India. It is a national level bank exam conducted for the recruitment of group A and Group B posts.

IBPS RRB 2020 Selection Process
IBPS RRB aspirants are required to be well informed about the selection process in order to plan their IBPS RRB 2020 exam preparation in correct direction. Number of candidates appearing in exam is as usual larger than the vacancies and IBPS shortlists the most qualified and talented candidates through different stages – Preliminary examination, Main examination and Interview. If you are also one of the IBPS RRB 2020 aspirant, you need to qualify all the three stages with high scores.

RRB selection process involve different stages where candidates are examined in order to shortlist the most qualified among them.
- IBPS RRB Preliminary Examination 2020
- IBPS RRB Main Examination 2020
- IBPS RRB Interview Round ( officer scale I)
- IBPS RRB Single Online Test (officer scale II & III)
- IBPS RRB Personal Interview 2020 (officer scale II & III)
IBPS RRB 2020 Preliminary Exam
IBPS RRB 2020 preliminary exam will be conducted to shortlist the deserving candidates for Main exam. It is held for the post of officer scale I and office assistant.
- Exam comprises of 2 sections: Reasoning and Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude according to post.
- Questions will be objective types and 45 minutes will be provided to complete both the section.
- There will be Negative marking of 0.25 marks in case of wrong answer.
IBPS RRB 2020 Main Examination
Only the candidates who will be shortlisted from preliminary exam according to cut off set by IBPS will be eligible sit in main exam. IBPS RRB 2020 main examination will be conducted for post of officer scale I and office assistant.
- There will be 5 sections in exam: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude/Numerical Ability, English/Hindi Language, Computer Knowledge and General Knowledge.
- There will be total 200 questions containing 1 mark each and maximum time to complete exam will be 2 hours.
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer will be there.
- This is the final stage for the post of office assistant but for the post of officer scale I, there will be one more stage i.e. interview round.
IBPS RRB 2020 Single Online Examination
- This online exam will be conducted for the post of Officer Scale II (General Banking Officer and Specialist Cadre) and Officer Scale III.
- The exam pattern will be same as main examination with some additional question according to the profession.
- Exam will comprise of different sections according to the post applied.
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be there for every wrong answer.
- Total marks of exam will be 200 and qualified candidates will be eligible for IBPS RRB 2020 interview round.
IBPS RRB 2020 Interview Round
There will be an interview round for the candidates applied for post of Officer Scale I, II and III only.
- Interview will be coordinated by Nodal Regional Rural Bank with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority.
- Candidate who will qualify the main examination (Officer Scale I) or Single Online Examination (Officer Scale II and Officer Scale III) will be eligible for interview round.
- IBPS RRB 2020 interview round will carry 100 marks and candidates have to score minimum 40% marks (35% for C/ST, OBC, PwD candidates)
- Candidates who will pass interview round with high merits will be considered for further allotment.
- Allotment will depend on no. of vacancies and merit cum preference basis.
IBPS RRB 2020 Document Verification
Candidates who will clear all the stages will be called for document verification where they need to show their documents and if they fails to do so, their candidature will be cancelled. Candidates must carry original documents along with two self-attested copies.
- Print out your IBPS call letter.
- IBPS RRB application form registered for CWE RRBs-V.
- Proof of Date of Birth (class 10th certificate/ Birth certificate issued by Municipal Corporation).
- Photo ID proof.
- Marks sheet of qualifications and graduation documents (dated before September 30, 2020).
- Experience certificates
- Caste certificate issued by competent authority in prescribed format.
- Disability certificate issued by authorized medical board.
- An Ex-serviceman candidate has to produce a copy of the Service or Discharge book, pension payment order and documentary proof of rank last / presently held (substantive as well as acting) at the time of interview
- Candidates working Defence service need to submit a certificate from a competent authority stating that they will be relieved from Defence services, on or before September 29, 2020.
- No objection certificate in case of Government Offices or Public Sector employees.
- For age relaxation: Domicile certificate must be produced by the candidate and for 1984 riot affected persons’ relief, certificated have to be issued by magistrate as a proof.
IBPS RRB 2020 Provisional Allotment
- A provisional allotment list will be declared in each category according to number of vacancies but it will not guarantee recruitment. After the fulfilment of certain criteria, final provisional list will be prepared on merit basis.
- Candidate must get their documents verified and fulfil all the eligibility conditions.
- Number of vacancies shall be filled according to merit and IBPS or RRB shall not account responsible if vacancies are filled. The guidelines issued by government of India for age relaxation, reserve category etc. shall be kept in mind.
- As per the preferences of RRB, Own Merit Candidates of reserved category will be adjusted against the vacancies of unreserved category and will be given provisional allotment first treating them notionally as reserved candidates.
- Such candidate will not be adjusted against a reserved post, however, shall be treated as if he/she is a reserved category candidates for the purpose of allotment of seat.
- Allotment will be done on the basis of Date of Birth, in case, if two or more candidates score equal marks. IBPS RRB 2020 calendar
