These are done on a variety of metrics.Some famous indices include Ease of doing business ranking, HDI ranking, competitive index. - Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra have emerged as the second and third best performers
- Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Odisha were among the worst performing states on the index.
- Among the smaller states, Mizoram ranked first in overall performance
- Among the UTs, Chandigarh ranked first in overall performance
- The report has been prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare with technical assistance from the World Bank.
- NITI Aayog’s Education Index: Kerala tops among large states, UP scores last
- Among the small States, Manipur emerged as the top performer while Arunachal Pradesh came last in the category.
