On 26th September, IBPS will conduct its last phase for the IBPS RRB Office Assistant preliminary examination. There are a lot of students who were awaiting this date. Hence, to help the students we have brought some last-minute tips to save their time and maximize their score.
The IBPS RRB Clerk comprises of two subjects viz Reasoning and Mathematics. The students must view the previous year's analysis and attempt the paper.
IBPS RRB Clerk Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme
The highlights of the RRB Clerk Preliminary Examination are as follows:
- The total duration of the exam is a composite time of 45 minutes.
- The students will get 1 mark for every correct answer while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- The exam will be held in bilingual format, viz English, and the official language of the state.
- The marks secured in the preliminary test will be only qualifying in nature.
- The students will have to clear the sectional as well as the overall cut-off decided by the IBPS authority for the particular state.

Last-Minute Tips for IBPS RRB Office Assistant
The students should follow the following tips and tricks for the IBPS RRB Office Assistant:
- Start revising your formulas and concepts before the examinations to avoid any embarrassing situation in the exams.
- Attempt that section first over which you have maximum command.
- Try to read the paper at one go as it will help in gaining an insight into what should be attempted first.
- Don’t attempt puzzles first as they are time-consuming and often tricky. Start with the miscellaneous part and post that move to another part.
- Solve Miscellaneous parts in Maths first then move to DI and finally to the arithmetic part.
- Refrain from attempting those questions of which you are not sure of as there is a negative marking for the wrong answer.
- Make sure to mark the answer and click on the submit button before proceeding to the next question.
- Do not spend more than 60 secs in any of the questions as it is very important to at-least try every question given in the question paper.
- Carry your own admit card and whatever is allowed as per the instruction manual released by the IBPS.
- Do not be anxious and do follow the instruction given at the exam centers thoroughly to avoid any mishap during or after the examination.
