NDA Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2020

NDA is one of the most sought after defence entrance exams in the country. NDA recruitment is conducted for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). NDA is conducted twice a year. The exam is conducted in two stages - written exam and SSB Interview. Around 4 lakh aspirants sit for NDA every year, out of which approximately 6000 are called for SSB Interview. NDA I 2020 Dates have been announced on the official website of UPSC. As per the notification released on January 6, 2020, the online NDA I Application Form 2020 was to be filled till January 28, 2020.NDA is a national level examination which is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). It is a written examination which is conducted twice a year i.e. in the month of April and November. NDA I was scheduled to be held on April 19, 2020 but due to COVID – 19 the exam has been postponed.

NDA Exam Pattern 2020 for SSB Interview
There are two stages of SSB interview - stage-I and stage-II. SSB interview holds a total of 900 marks and is conducted over a period of 4 to 5 days. Candidates need to qualify stage-I to be eligible to appear for stage-II. See details about the interview process below.

SSB Interview - Stage-I
Candidates will have to take two tests in this stage of the interview - Officers Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP & DT). Only those candidates will appear for Stage-II who have cleared this stage.
SSB Interview - Stage-II
In this stage of the SSB interview, candidates will have to go through Group Testing Officers Tasks, Psychology tests, and the Conference. These tests will be conducted over 4 days.

NDA Exam Pattern 2020
Negative marking will be applicable if the candidates incorrectly answer the questions asked in NDA written examination. One-third of the marks allotted to each question will be deducted if the responses made are incorrect. Candidates must also note that no marks will be deducted or awarded for unanswered questions.
