SSC MTS stands for Staff Selection Commission Multitasking Staff. The SSC is a corporation of Indian government which is responsible to recruit candidates govt. jobs and MTS may be a post. Every year the SSC releases various vacancies for MTS (Non-technical) posts and candidates apply for these vacancies through filling a web form . Before all of this, the SSC released a recruitment notification which has all the information regarding selection procedure. The Notification also consists of details like eligibility criteria, pay scale, job locations etc. The selected candidates get employment in Peon, Jamadar, Chowkidar, Safaiwala, Mali etc.
SSC MTS 2019 Eligibility Criteria :
Basic criteria that candidates got to fulfill so as to satisfy SSC MTS eligibility 2020 are:
- A candidate must be either/or a citizen of India, subject of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugee, person of Indian origin.
- Candidates should be aged between 18 and 27 years.
- Candidates should clear class X from a recognised board
SSC MTS Nationality
(a) a citizen of India,
(b) a subject of Nepal,
(c) a subject of Bhutan
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly, Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
SSC MTS Age Limit
The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:
1. 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 2 Aug 1994 and not later than 1 Aug 2001 are eligible to apply). 2. 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 2 Aug 1992 and not later than 1 Aug 2001 are eligible to apply).
As the vacancies for MTS are in two age groups i.e. (i) 18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years, in the final result, there will be separate age group-wise, State/ UT-wise, and category-wise cutoffs. For the candidates who are eligible for both the age-groups, vacancies will first be filled in the age-group of 18-25 years.
Candidates should note that Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate available on the date of submission of application will only be accepted by SSC.

SSC MTS Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the matriculation examination OR equivalent from a recognized board or institute. SSC MTS Educational Qualifications should have been attained as on 01 August 2019.
