The Reserve Bank of India has declared the RBI Assistant 2019 final result on their official handle. The candidates who are selected in the final merit list have to appear for an LPT round. What is RBI Assistant LPT?
LPT stands for Language Proficiency test in the banks. The clerical exams are conducted state-wise hence, it is very important that candidates have the knowledge of the official language of their states. The LPT is a qualifying round and the candidates selected in the final round have to qualify it to get their final appointment letter.
What happens in the Language Proficiency test of RBI?
The LPT is conducted in three stages, the details of which are given below:
- The candidates are given a printed matter in the official language of the state which they have to read aloud
- The candidates have to translate a paragraph from English/Hindi to the official language of the state.
- The candidates have to do a brief conversation in the official language.
What happens if a candidate fails in the LPT round?
If a candidate fails to qualify in the LPT round then he is given a notice period pf 3 months to learn the language. If the candidates learn the language in the period he is absorbed as an assistant. However, if he fails his candidature is disqualified.
