- Union Information and Broadcasting, and Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that India is committed to work towards the goal of sustainable development.
- Speaking on the 'Action Agenda for Sustainable and Self-Reliant India' at the 15th Sustainability Summit-2020 organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Minister appealed that every country should present their case studies regarding emission of harmful pollutants and actions taken to check such emissions.
- Mr. Javadekar highlighted that despite India's minimal share in carbon emissions as compared to developed countries, it has proactively implemented curative strategies to check emissions and promote sustainable growth.
