India’s CAG appointed as External Auditor of OPCW
Appointment
- India’s Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), G C Murmu, got appointed as External Auditor of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) at The Hague for a three-term year starting 2021.
- India has also been elected as the member state of the Executive Council of the OPCW in the Asia regional group for another two-year term.
- G C Murmu, IAS, 1985-batch of the Gujarat cadre was appointed as the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India on August 08, 2020.
