IBPS RRB 2020 Notification Out : Eligibility for 9,698 Vacancy
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the notification of IBPS RRB on its official website i.e. ibps.in on June 30. The notification has been announced in the form of PDF through which the authorities have announced the recruitment of Office Assistants and Officer Scale I, II, and III. As per the official notification, candidates can fill the online application form from July 1, 2020. The last date to fill the applictaion form and pay the applictaion fee is July 21, 2020. The authorities have also extended the earlier scheduled date of the exam. As per the new schedule the test will be held tentatively in September/October 2020 for the prelims stage.

IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria
Prospective Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the specified eligibility criteria before applying for the CRP:
I Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate must be either -
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
II Age Limit
- For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager)- Above 21 years - Below 40 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1979 and later than 31.05.1998 (both dates inclusive)
- For Officer Scale- II (Manager)- Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1987 and later than 31.05.1998 (both dates inclusive)
- For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)- Above 18 years - Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1989 and later than 31.05.2001 (both dates inclusive)
- For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) - Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.06.1991 and later than 01.06.2001 (both dates inclusive)
The maximum age limit specified above is applicable to General Category candidates and EWS category candidates only. For other categories the following relaxations would apply:

IBPS RRB Online Application
A candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer. However a candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre i.e. for Officer Scale-I or Scale-II or Scale-III.
Candidates have to apply separately and pay fees / intimation charges separately for each post.
How To Apply
Here are some steps which candidate must keep in mind while filling an Application Form.
- Visit an Official Website(ibps.in).
- Direct to the IBPS's CRP for RRBs page and click CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- RRBs OFFICERS (Scale-I, II and III)" or "CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- RRBs- OFFICE ASSISTANT (Multipurpose).
- On clicking the Registration button a pop up appears on which instructions are written, read the instruction carefully and close it.
- Registration process compiles 5 steps.
- Firstly, candidate will fill basic information page i.e. part 1
- Fill in the details and click on save and next.
- Note down your provisional registration number and password generated by the website after the last step. The same information is also sent via email by the institute.
- Upload your photograph and signature.
- Only passport size photographs of 4.5 by 3.5 cm or 200 by 230 pixels in a light background are allowed.
- The file should not be smaller than 20 kb or larger than 30 kb.
- Face and eyes should be clearly visible and no headgear except religious symbols are allowed.
- Signature should not be in capitals and should be on white paper with black ink.
- The signature file should be less than 140 by 60 pixels and of 20 kb or less size.
- The same signature should be used during all subsequent steps in the examination.
- Fill details of your education and experience.
- After reviewing all details, submit your form.
IBPS RRB 2020 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for the selection to the post of Office Assistant is quite different to that of the exam pattern for the selection to the post of Officer Grade. For IBPS RRB Assistant 2020, Exam will be conducted in two phases:
- Preliminary Exam
- Mains Exam

- Duration : 45 mins
- Sections : 2 (Numerical Ability and Reasoning)
- Number Of Questions : 80 Questions, 40 Questions each section
- Marking Scheme : 1 Mark for each question and 0.25 is negative Marking.

For IBPS RRB Officer 2020, exam will be conducted in three phases:

The final selection will be made on the cumulative score obtained by candidate in both Mains Exam and Interview Process
