IBPS PO 2020 Selection Process

IBPS has recently released the notification for the recruitment for 1167 vacancies. IBPS PO exam is a golden chance for the banking aspirants. Bank jobs are the full package of bright future and settled career. IBOS PO 2020 preliminary examination is going to be held on 3rd, 4th and 10th October 2020 and IBPS PO 2020 Main examination will be on 28th November 2020. Here in this article, we will provide you IBPS PO 2020 exam selection procedure in detail.
IBPS PO 2020 exam consists of three stages which are as follows
- Preliminary exam
- Mains exam
- Interview
Candidate should pass the three stages of IBPS PO exam successfully to get the job.
Preliminary and mains exam iscomputer-basedexams' whereas you are called for an interview at a specific place if you successfully pass the CBT exam.
- IBPS PO 2020 Preliminary exam
This is the first stage where candidates needto pass the Preliminary exam. This exam consists of three sections.
- English language
- Quantitative aptitude
- Reasoning ability
Maximum marks for this exam is 100 and the total time allotted is 60 minutes [ 20 min for each section]. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

The shortlisted candidates from the preliminary exam are eligible to appear in the main exam. This comprises of both objective and descriptive tests. This exam consists of four sections :
- English language
- Data interpretation and analysis
- Reasoning and computer aptitude
- Generalawareness
The descriptive paper consists of an English letter and essay writing

Candidates who qualify the mains exam are eligible to make him/herin the Interview section. This is conducted by some participating organizations and some noble banks with the help of IBPS. Maximum marks for this Interview is 100. The minimum qualifying marks for Generalclass is 40% and for SC/ST/OBC it is 35%.
There are some documents which youshould carry to the interview room for your verification and for some other areas where these are used.
List of documents which you should carry to interview room are as follows
- Printout of valid call letter
- Proof of date of birth
- Marksheets or certificates for graduation or equivalent qualification
- Income and asset certificate
- A copy of services or discharge book along with pension payment order and documentary proof of rank last
- Printout of IBPS PO application form
- Photo identity proof
- Caste certificate
- Disability certificate [ if any]
- No objection certificate [[in case of working candidates]
- Experience certificates [ if any]
Now, after all this final selection of a candidate is based on the mains exam and interview.
The marks scored in the mains exam and interview should be in ratio 80:20 respectively.
