Quantity of Iron = (Quantity of zinc/Quantity of copper) $\times ~20$
The above line graph shows the quantity of zinc and copper in the five alloys which are made up of multiple elements. The quantity of iron in each alloy can be calculated using the given formula. (Assume that the quantity of each alloy is 300 kg)
What is the respective quantity of zinc and copper required in the preparation of 450 kg of alloy 5?
Solution
300 kg of alloy 5 contains 10 kg of zinc and 70 kg of copper
Therefore 450 kg of alloy 5 contains
$450\times ~10/300~=~15$ kg of zinc and
$450\times ~70/300~=~105$ kg of copper.
Hence the correct option is A.
