In Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (UPTET) Paper I and Paper II around 17 lakh candidates appeared. In Uttar Pradesh, UPTET is the minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as teacher.
The UPTET exam is divided into two parts – Paper 1 and Paper 2. According to the UPTET 2020 Exam Pattern, candidates who want to teach classes from 1 – 5 need to appear in Paper 1, whereas Paper 2 is meant for those who want to teach classes from 6 – 8. To teach students of all classes, i.e. 1 - 8, one needs to appear for both Paper 1 and 2.
