IBPS PO Prelims 2020 1st shift Analysis

IBPS has conducted the IBPS PO Preliminary examination on 03 October 2020. The exam was the most awaited examination of the seasons and around 7 lakhs students will be appearing for the examinations. Team Livolearn has prepared the first shift analysis of the IBPS PO Pre 03 October 2020. The students who have an examination on 10 October and 11 October can check the analysis and prepared accordingly.
IBPS PO Preliminary Examination Pattern
The highlights of the IBPS PO Preliminary Examination is as follows:
- The total duration of the exam was 60 minutes which was divided into 3 equal time slots of 20 minutes for all the three subjects.
- The students will get 1 mark for every correct answer while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- The exam will be held in bilingual format, viz English and Hindi.
- The marks secured in the preliminary test will be only qualifying in nature.
- The students will have to clear the sectional as well as the overall cut-off decided by the IBPS authority.

English Language
The English Language had 30 questions and it was based on the pattern asked in the previous years. The questions were from five parts viz Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correction, Rearrangements and Cloze test.

The section had 35 questions which were spread into 4 major subtypes i.e. Data Interpretation, Number Series, Number System and Arithmetic part. The students found the Number Series, Number System and Arithmetic part slightly easy as compared to the DI which was lengthy and calculative.
